Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in structural design, analysis, and project execution across commercial and residential developments. This role is ideal for a licensed PE in Texas who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is passionate about building structures that last.
Responsibilities:
Lead structural design and engineering for mid- to large-scale commercial, multifamily, and residential projects
Prepare structural plans, calculations, specifications, and reports
Perform detailed analysis and modeling of structural systems using industry-standard software
Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, and project managers to ensure designs meet project goals, building codes, and budget requirements
Oversee preparation and review of construction documents, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Conduct field inspections and provide engineering support during construction phases
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to professional development within the department
Coordinate with third-party consultants, contractors, and city officials as needed
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas
Minimum 5 years of experience in structural engineering
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, RISA, ETABS, or similar structural analysis tools
Strong understanding of IBC, ACI, AISC, and Texas building codes
Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field (required).
Certifications: Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred.
Strong knowledge of engineering principles, local zoning laws, and environmental regulations.
Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS tools.
Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
Master’s degree in Structural Engineering
8+ years of experience with a focus on multi-family, commercial, or hospitality projects
Experience working with real estate developers or design-build firms
