Job Overview
Majestic Developers is seeking a Senior Environmental and Site Remediation Manager to lead our expanding environmental division. This high-demand role manages complex environmental due diligence, permitting, and comprehensive site remediation activities for large-scale projects, focusing specifically on Commercial and Residential (single and multi-family) developments. This position requires an experienced leader to capture the strong market demand for remediation and environmental consulting in Houston and surrounding areas. This is an on-site position based in our Sugar Land, Texas office.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership: Direct multidisciplinary teams on complex environmental due diligence, permitting, and large-scale site remediation projects from inception to completion.
Technical Execution: Oversee data collection, project scheduling, cost estimation, and the preparation and final review of Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) for commercial and residential real estate assets.
Remediation Management: Design, implement, and manage comprehensive soil and groundwater investigation and remediation strategies for contaminated properties designated for residential or commercial reuse.
Risk Mitigation: Evaluate sites for Business Environmental Risks (BERs) and Recognized Environmental Conditions (RECs) to provide practical, technical solutions to developers and stakeholders.
Regulatory & Contract Negotiations: Lead regulatory negotiations with state and federal agencies to secure permits, approvals, and remediation closures (such as TCEQ certificates of completion).
Compliance Oversight: Ensure all projects strictly adhere to federal, state, and local regulations, with a strong focus on Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) permitting and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance.
Team Mentorship: Lead day-to-day training, professional development, and technical mentorship of staff scientists and engineers.
Field Oversight: Travel as required for site visits, regulatory meetings, client presentations, and technical field work validation.
Qualifications & Requirements
Designation: Senior Environmental and Site Remediation Manager
Experience: 7–10+ years of progressive experience in environmental consulting, project management, and technical field work, ideally centered around land development.
MANDATORY Licensure/Certification:
Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification is required.
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology, or a related science field.
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in technical writing, project scheduling, cost estimation, and working knowledge of ArcGIS for spatial environmental mapping.
Core Competencies: Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with a strong sense of urgency to manage multiple concurrent deadlines.
