Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager for land development. The ideal candidate will be in charge of bridging the gap between the contractor and engineer. In this role, you will oversee projects with construction-phase representation to ensure that our designs are built accurately and efficiently. You will be the primary point of contact in the field, driving project execution, managing contracts, and maintaining strict quality control.
Responsibilities:
Manage the construction contract, RFIs, submittals, and pay estimates.
Drive construction schedule coordination to ensure project milestones are met on time.
Lead permit coordination efforts with local municipalities, utility districts, and regulatory agencies.
Act as the primary liaison between the engineering consultants and general contractors to resolve field issues promptly.
Perform field inspections and as-built surveys to verify that the final physical construction matches our engineered plans.
Qualifications
Required:
Demonstrated, hands-on experience in utility construction (including water, wastewater, and storm sewer systems).
Proven background and technical expertise in paving construction.
Strong ability to read and interpret complex civil engineering plans, specifications, and technical reports.
6+ years of experience
Excellent organizational and communication skills to effectively manage schedules, budgets, and multi-disciplinary project stakeholders.
Preferred: * Deep understanding of the land development lifecycle, construction sequencing, and contract administration.
Professional Engineering license and Construction Management degree
